Pointed leaves on these plants give a clue to their hardiness - these plants seem to grow with ease along this barren coast - drought resistant - they are very tough and I think they are unlikely to be eaten by anything ..
Picture taken near La Zenia on the Costa Blanca, Spain .
Southern Spain is certainly warming up - forecast for tomorrow is 90 degrees Fahrenheit ! The heat will be no worry to these plants ..

Nice picture. What kind of plant is that. Is it related to cactus?
Not sure what it is - Aloe Vera seems to grow a lot in Spain - looks similar ..
That is not just a lovely flower but the place looks wonderful :)
Have a great weekend.
The place looks inviting! Nice photo:) And happy PH!
Beautiful scenery. Excellent photo.
I've got my PhotoHunt entry up at http://www.anniemayhem.com/cgi-bin/wordpress/ in case you're interested. If you do visit, please leave a comment and feel free to explore the rest of my little blog.
These plants adapt to their environment I guess. I think too they're aloe vera.
The whole pic looks like a great holiday place! Beautiful!
Very nice shot. The sea looks so inviting with the cacti (are they?) in the foreground.
Have a great weekend.
Very pointed! Must be xerophytes!
Aloe Vera or a close relative - very useful points there :)
These plants - I forget their name - grow in Florida too...though I don't see too many of them anymore. Good point pic!
I think they're called agave.
Perfect for pointed.
Mine's shared.
very pointed photo of a beautiful place
Wonderful photo! I love seeing photos of other places. I did Photo Hunt today, too! Come see mine and put your link up. :)

Beautiful shot and so hearty. Certainly gets your point across,..lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
It looks like an aloe vera plant which is certainly hardy...yet also very attractive.
Beautiful place! We've been in the 90's for a while - certainly a bit warm.
I enjoyed your photo and all the information about the plant.
