Barcelona  v  Atletico Madrid

First legs to be played April 5/6 and return legs April 12/13

So Spain will have at least one team in the semi - finals !!

Real Madrid progress ..

More success in the Champions League - last night saw Real Madrid beat Roma 2-0 and progress to the next round.

With goals from C Ronaldo and J Rodriguez in the 64th and 68th minutes.

The aggregate score was 4-0 over two games

The next round is likely to be much harder when it is assumed that they will meet a far stronger team than Roma.

Valencia win !!!

At last Valencia have won in La Liga under their new manager the ex Manchester United player Gary Neville.

After 10 La Liga games this is the first win for Gary.

A 2-1 win against struggling Espanyol with goals from ex Manchester City player Negredo and on loan from Real Madrid winger Cheryshev.

The team and Gary have a lot more work to do to improve on their position in La Liga which is 11th.
